Strawberry Italian Soda
Strawberry syrup, soda water, a splash of cream if you want it.

Makes one tall glass. Five minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp strawberry simple syrup, more to taste
- 1 cup soda water, cold
- Ice, plenty
- A splash of cream or half-and-half, optional
- A lemon wedge
Steps
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour the strawberry syrup over the ice.
- Top with cold soda water and stir once, gently.
- For a cream soda, finish with a splash of cream and stir again. Squeeze the lemon over the top.
Notes
The cream version
The splash of cream turns this into a strawberries-and-cream soda. Good for kids and grown-ups both.
Adjust the sweet
Start with two tablespoons of syrup and add more if you like it sweeter. Alpine strawberry is intense, so a little goes far.
